BES currently have a wealth of experience, skills and capabilities in delivering Carbon Footprint projects which puts us in an excellent position to continue to grow our Carbon Footprint business and we are therefore looking to recruit a Carbon Consultant.

The main principle of this role is to provide support and focus for projects in the energy and carbon management sector.  The scope of the role will include developing business opportunities in the areas of Carbon Footprinting and Carbon Management and to manage such projects to successful completion.

The current client portfolio is varied and the successful candidate will work on a number of projects, covering both the public and private sectors which includes a number of multi-national companies.

Main responsibilities will include delivering carbon footprint and carbon management for a wide variety of clients.  To manage projects including costs, performance deadlines and delivery of reports.  Management of the project team, review the progress of the project on a regular basis and take responsibility for delivery to client's needs.  You will also have responsibility for resolving technical and financial queries through consultation with project managers and technical managers.

You will support the Operations Director to further develop the carbon footprint offering, providing technical and business development support as necessary as well as working with colleagues to increase BES Consulting's visibility and promote its reputation in the carbon foot-printing market.

Teamwork is an important factor in this role and you need to be able to encourage and motivate the team by displaying a personal commitment and positive attitude at all times.

Experience of working in a consultancy environment will be an advantage however other relevant backgrounds will be considered.  You will have proven experience of delivering carbon footprint and/or carbon management projects to time and budget and be confident in a client facing environment. 

Candidates are likely to hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (science, engineering, geography).  An MSc (or equivalent) qualification is desirable and have excellent mathematical skills.
