Asbestos Surveyor

We are currently looking to recruit Asbestos Surveyors for an immediate start.

The primary objective of the role will be to execute building surveys for the presence of asbestos and collate information in order to produce reports.

Principal activities include:

• Responsibility for executing building surveys, Management and Refurbishment / Demolition to BES Documented Method & HSE Guidance
• Data collection, including photographs as stated in the BES Documented Method
• Delivery of a quality service to BES clients
• Maintain, update and retain reference documentation including ACOPS, BES Quality Manual, including documented method of surveying
• Maintain and ensure security of all equipment as detailed in the Quality Manual
• Liaise and communicate with both internal (office staff) and external (clients) customers
• Ensure all reports are returned to the office in the specified timescale
• Adhere to the Health & Safety Policy at all times including the wearing of appropriate RPE/PPE
• Perform any other additional tasks as requested by your Line Manager which could include a fast response outside of normal working hours

It is essential that you hold a P402 certificate, have the ability to follow specific instructions and correctly interpret them, flexibility and willingness to travel.  You will have the ability to work on your initiative as well as part of a team, be punctual and have good communication skills.  It is also essential that you hold a full driving licence (6 months minimum experience).

Three years asbestos surveying experience would be desirable but not essential.
