BES Consulting invests £1m in Britain's largest EPC team

The company, which has offices and surveyors across the UK, provides management solutions for statutory property compliance.

BES Consulting works on some of the country's largest commercial property estates and now plans to bolster its comprehensive range of services by having 100 qualified energy surveyors to deliver EPCs and DECs.

The company is already providing EPC services to most of the leading pub chains and this new investment follows the company's identification of significant opportunities in several other markets.

"There is a chronic shortage of people and companies that can deliver EPCs and DECs on a large scale," said Steven Daniels, Sales and Marketing Director, BES Consulting.

"Of those qualified to deliver EPCs, a large number are individuals or new start businesses.  These do not offer the bandwith, national support or ability to support property managers with complementary services which, when blended with an EPC, become very attractive from a pricing perspective".

"Our clients see this as a compelling offer and we are confident that we will quickly establish ourselves as the number one in the EPC market."

From October 1 all commercial properties need an EPC before they can be let or sold.
