BES Consulting beats 'credit crunch' with record orders
Despite doom and gloom within the national economy, a Huddersfield-based company is bucking the trend by achieving record orders.
During the last six months BES Consulting saw its orders soar by 40% over the previous period and the success is even more remarkable because it is operating in one of the industries most affected by the credit crunch - the property sector.
Specialising in statutory property compliance in areas such as asbestos, fire, legionella and health & safety, the company, which employs nearly 200 people, has seized new market opportunities.
The company recently announced a £1m investment in building the largest field-based team of surveyors qualified to help commercial proeprty managers to reduce their energy costs and receive Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
EPCs became a legal requirement for all commercial buildings let or sold from October and BES Consulting is creating at least 30 new jobs to help meet soaring demand, which has recently included deals with Marston's and Punch Taverns.
BES Consulting is working with some of the largest commercial property estates in the country and has a successful track record of helping companies reduce compliance costs and risk - and at the same time cut their carbon footprint.
"Our business is ideally suited to address the boardroom issues of the day - helping companies to reduce compliance costs and the environmental impact of their operations," said BES Consulting's Sales & Marketing Director, Steve Daniels.
"Some of our customers are operating thousands of properties across the UK. We help them to identify ways to reduce energy wastage and stay on top of the legislative requirements for commercial buildings."
