Accessible Environments − Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
Since October 2004 employers & service providers must make reasonable adjustments to their premises to overcome physical barriers to access.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) lays the obligation upon the owners of all buildings, which employees and the public have access to. It ensures that any persons with disabilities are not inhibited in any way from building access and egress.
BES consulting will ensure that as an organisation you have a clear understanding of the current UK regulations and advise on the best practise approach to achieve them.
Services include:
- Access and Egress Audit
- Categorisation (physical and operational) of significant findings
- Development of a policy and management plan
- Project management of remedial work
- Practical design and detailing of architectural finishes
BES Consulting will help you fulfil your obligations to provide accessible buildings for all disabled people.
